What Does Gender fluidity Means?

Genderfluid, also spelled gender-fluid or gender fluid, is a gender identity that is individualized due to its fluid nature.

Gender fluidity means that a person's gender identity is mobile, flexible, and open, changing according to the individual and the person's environment.

It is not a static identity, nor is it constrained by a binary understanding of gender. Because gender integrates a person's identity, there can be as many genders as there are people on earth.

What is gender fluid?

Fluid gender is a term accepted by many, but still confusing to some. This can mean many different things to different people and it is important to remember that this is a different experience for each individual.

1. Gender is not binary

Most people today accept that gender is not an either/or thing, but a spectrum. Our gender is based on a number of factors including biology, hormones, physiology, and psychology, so it's not easy to fit it into one box.

People have long been referred to as male or female, and this category continues to this day.

However, more and more people are comfortable leaving the binary equation and identifying somewhere on the spectrum. Gender-sensitive people may feel like they fit into different parts of the spectrum at different times of the day or in their lives.

2. Gender is interpreted differently in different cultures

Gender Fluid is simply a noun used to identify people whose gender may not match their binary form. But gender modifiers can be found throughout history and in different cultures.

People can also accept gender identification at any time in their lives, so there is no reason to go down that path.

5. Gender fluidity has been around for centuries.

Gender Fluid is not a fad. Examples of these can be found throughout history, although in the past liquid sexers often hid their identities due to ostracism and stigma.

During the Ottoman Empire in ancient Turkey, the köçek, men who wore women's clothing, performed special dances and assumed their male and female traits.
